Wow. Everything was great. The salsa and chips are worth stopping for.
Had the California burrito (it has French fries in it) and my lovely had machete taco, both were excellent
Service was friendly and prompt. -

I'd come here if I was starved and needed a decent burrito to eat, but didn't want to have delicious food because I was saving that experience to have with friends.
For some reason the sour cream and tomatoes came on the side as a fucking salad lol. I have NEVER had my toppings placed on the side of a super wet burrito before.
On top of that my burrito wasn't even completely even wet. You can see in the picture dry tortilla. The sauce was premade and placed in a Coca Cola fridge for all to access in the event that their "wet" burrito was dry as fuck. Which it was. The only good thing was the freshly made chip dip. -

I'm literally here. I ordered nachos and asked for guacamole, sour cream, and chicken on the side because it's included in the order but I'm sharing it so I'm being considerate. They charged me extra to simply put stuff on the side ..... on top of that the nachos are the worst nachos I've ever seen. It seems like they were made in the microwave. Probably not coming here again
Sincerely,
An unsatisfied customer -

After my sister moved to Santa Cruz for school, this was the first place we checked out before she came to stay with me in San Jose for a weekend.
Though my sister tends to pick the most expensive items on the menu, she's a very no-BS-kinda-person. She doesn't do "frills". So when I said, "hey, let's go get tacos at this place that serves 'em on paper plates," she was like "hell yeah."
And when I mention that they serve tacos on paper plates, I mean that they serve them like that even to those who are dining in.
I have an a d d i c t i o n to carne asada, so obviously I had to order one carne asada taco. I also ordered the machete taco, because hell, who else sells "machete" tacos? I'm glad I ordered it, because the meat was delicious and I love me some avocado slices. The carne asada was average, but I love average carne asada so it was fine with me.
I don't even remember what my sister ordered, but she really enjoyed her food. I remember her saying, "these are the best tacos I've had in, like, four years."
Ya damn straight.
If you're looking for a no-frills, hole in the wall Mexican joint in DTSC, Los Pinos is your place. -

Perfect place to grab some quick authentic Mexican in downtown Santa Cruz. Great special of two tacos and rice and beans for $7.50. The tacos had tons of meat. The quesadilla was huge and delicious. Would have been nice to have a salsa bar but.... not complaining. The salsa was fresh and delicious which was a nice surprise. More like a pico. Glad we found this spot.
